Meizu Pro 7 Will Feature a 5.7-inch 4K Display And 8GB of RAM
There is new leak from China that suggests that the upcoming Meizu Pro 7 flagship will be a powerhouse of a device with high-end hardware specifications and a truly premium build quality. In addition to the specs, the leaked slides give us a good look at the design of the phablet as well.
This sets Meizu Pro 7 to be the Meizu’s first flagship smartphone to feature a 4K display. Pro 7 is rumored to come with a 5.7-inch sized 2160 x 3840 resolution display with 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 1800 nits maximum brightness, and 153% NTSC color gamut coverage. Device will have a titanium body, with a design similar to previous flagship smartphones from the company.
Meizu Pro 7 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core chipset and not the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip expected to power most 2017 flagship smartphones. Multiple memory configurations will be available at launch also, with the base variant being equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Higher end variants will come with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB/8GB of RAM. The storage will also be expandable via a microSD card slot.
On the back side of the Pro 7 a 12MP Sony IMX362 camera sensor will fine it’s home, same sensor is also used on the Vivo Xplay 6. The sensor boasts of phase detection autofocus tech, large 1.4 micron sized pixels and supports 4K video capture. The resolution of the front camera hasn’t been mentioned in the leak, but it did mention that the Pro 7 will feature a fingerprint scanner on the front.
The base variant of the Meizu Pro 7 with 4GB of RAM is said to be priced at 3,299 Yuan ($479), while the 6GB RAM variant will be priced at 3,599 Yuan ($523). The top-end variant with 8GB of RAM will retail for 3,799 Yuan ($550), which is affordable for a device packing a 4K resolution display. The Pro 7 is expected to be announced later in June this year.
