Huawei P10 Plus Will Have Dual Fingerprint And Iris Scanner
Gadget Detected first reported a leak from China that exposed renders of two upcoming Huawei’s flagship phones. The Huawei P10 and the larger version Huawei P10 Plus. We can already see where the two devices will differ from one another. The P10 will have some additional features compared to its sibling. The extra features consist of a curved design for the P10 version, Home button will have different design and an extra sensor at the front. Other additions claim a second fingerprint sensor mounted on the back and an Iris recognition sensor similar to that found on now canceled Note 7.
The Huawei P10 will have a 5.2″ Quad-HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, while the Huawei P10 Plus will have a larger display, 5.5″ with the Quad-HD resolution and will be curved on the sides. Edge displays are now adopted by the most phone manufacturers and is often given to the best of their premium handset.
We can see that the Huawei P10 will not have rear-mounted fingerprint sensor while the Huawei P10 Plus has a back fingerprint. Huawei P10 will be a premium handset so the support of fingerprint recognition is essential, we believe that the sensor will be mounted on the Home button at the front. Similar Home button design is also found on the curved P10 Plus version, so we believe that the Huawei P10 Plus may have a fingerprint sensor on both sides. One more extra feature found on the P10 Plus is a third sensor located next to the selfie camera. It will probably be an Iris recognition sensor.
Huawei P10 will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 with 4GB or 6GB of RAM option, with 64GB or 128GB of storage. The P10 Plus will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 965 with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and to have storage versions varying from 128GB and 256GB of storage. Storage will be expandable via microSD cards for both models, and they will both come with Android 7 Nougat.
Pricing of the Huawei P10 is said to start at $699, the official pricing will be unveiled at MWC 2017 event where the devices are set to have the debut. The P10 will have a 3,100 mAh battery while its larger sibling a larger battery measuring 3,650 mAh. Both devices will be available in Black, Silver, Gold, Yellow, and Pink.
