LG G6 Confirmed To Be Powered By Snapdragon 821 In Leaked Slide
LG G6 is expected to be main rival to Samsung Galaxy S8. G6 might be as great as S8 in most areas, but the G6 may not be competitive against the Galaxy S8 in the CPU department. A new leaked slide is showing that the G6 will be powered by the Qualcomm MSM8996AC chipset, which is known as the Snapdragon 821.
Earlier another report said that LG will be using the Snapdragon 821 instead of the newer Snapdragon 835 for the G6. Samsung was first one that secured the entire first batch of Snapdragon 835 for its Galaxy S8 duo, and that is the reason LG will not be able to implement Snapdragon 835 on time for the G6. LG is not planning to delay G6 so they decided to go with the older(still powerful) Snapdragon 821 instead. Qualcomm should start with shipments of Snapdragon 835 chips to other manufacturers in April.
We can also see the 5.7-inch display with “Full Vision”. LG is probably referring to the screen area with slim bezels on the sides of G6. The G6 should also be the first LG flagship smartphone to come with water and dust resistance. LG is set to unveil the G6 on the 26th of this month at MWC press conference in Barcelona.
