Android Nougat for Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge is Live in Europe
Samsung pushed Android 7.0 Nougat update to its 2016 flagships Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge last month, and now they started rolling out the Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Update is limited to Europe for now, but all users can expect the update by the end of the month. Just like with the S7 duo, Android Nougat for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge is based on version 7.0 and not the latest 7.1.
Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has reportedly started rolling out in Bulgaria, Austria, Hungary, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, and Turkey. Users that live in countries above should receive the OTA update on S6 devices, automatic update notification should pop up very soon, asking you to download and install the new update. The update is over 1.3GB in terms of size, so it is recommended download it over Wi-Fi network. Once downloaded, do make sure your Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge has at least 50% battery charge left before you proceed to install the update. Since it is a phased rollout, some of you may need to wait longer to receive the update, as it takes some time before the update rollout picks up pace.
